Everything is a Remix by Kirby Ferguson

Everything is a Remix is an interesting 4-part video series (the last 2 parts are still yet to be produced as of this posting) by Kirby Ferguson, a New York-based filmmaker. The series is an analysis of various creations in music and film, showing how many of today's work that many of us thought to be highly-original, are in many ways adapted or remixed from previous material made by other artists. This highly informative piece takes on a very interesting question - is anything truly original? - and presents information with meticulous detail. In the author's analysis of Star Wars for example, you will see side-by-side comparison shots between George Lucas' most popular sci-fi series and the older films that served as inspiration and even seemingly as templates for it. Here is part 2 of the series, which explores remixes in film over the years:
